Elizabeth Weber Handwerker is a research economist in the Employment Research and Program Development Office at the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Her research interests include retirement, family factors in labor supply, the employment impacts of international trade and investments, measurement issues, and long run mortality trends.  She received her PhD from the University of California at Berkeley, and served on the staff of the Council of Economic Advisers during 2000-2001.
